Summertime.....

I love this time of the year! Warm weather and a bright sunshine puts us all in the best of moods...I have always been a fan of HOT weather. When I was a kid I loved playing in the sprinkler in our backyard....bare feet and a fudge sickle ring around my lips, how much better could life get. The past few summers I have been on a couple of trips. Last summer I went with my immediate family to San Francisco, my mother grew up not to far from there, so it was nice to go back and visit. I love big cities and great food...and San Francisco offered both! The first week of June I took a trip to Destin, Florida with my boyfriend and his family. It was such a relaxing vacation. We layed on the beach, suntanned, read great books, sipped lemonade, and let the ocean breeze blow through our hair. That is relaxation! :)

EDU 225 Experience

My experiences in this EDU 225 Technology course have been great! I have enjoyed each aspect of this course, I will continue using all of the helpful hints that Mr. Salley has provided for each of us. This class has given me a greater understanding of how to incorporate technology into my own classroom. Through building our first lesson plan, creating a PowerPoint presentation, and building our own personal website I have learned how add creativity into each part of the assignments. I feel that creativity in a classroom is AMAZING! Children love creative and energetic teachers, and I hope to give each of my students both!

I plan to use Weblogs in my classroom because I feel that it adds a personal and technical touch to each one of us. I feel the value of having blogs is communication. As a teacher I want to have great communication skills with my students and their families. I want everyone to be aware of what we are learning and the activities that we are participating in. I also feel that Weblogs can be used to create lessons on a particular subject matter, and have different availabilities for students read other posts and add their comments to their classmates.

This course has given me a lot of different ideas that I will be happy to use in my classroom!
